This website is run by M3. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent version of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text clear and easy to understand.

6. Technical information about this website’s accessibility

M3 is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

7. Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

8. Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

9. Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some links are missing accessible names – fails on WCAG 2.1 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)
IMPACT: When a link’s purpose cannot be determined, users may be required to follow the link to determine its purpose. Returning to a previous location can often be more difficult for users with disabilities using assistive technology. Thus, authors must ensure that a link’s purpose is clear within context
  • Some elements contain a duplicate ID – fails on WCAG 2.1 4.1.1 Parsing
IMPACT: When duplicate IDs are present the incorrect element may be referenced. For example, an accessible name may be calculated based on the first occurrence of an ID rather than the expected element
  • Some input element type passwords are missing an accessible name – fails on WCAG2.1 1.31 Info and Relationships, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value, 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions, 2.5.3 Label in Name
IMPACT: When input elements do not have an accessible name, assistive technologies may incorrectly render the name or provide no name at all to users. When an accessible name is not present, users of assistive technologies may not be able to complete a form
  • Some input type texts are missing an accessible name – Fails on WCAG 2.1 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value, 2.5.3 Label in Name
IMPACT: When input elements do not have an accessible name, assistive technologies may incorrectly render the name or provide no name at all to users. When unnamed fields are present, users of assistive technologies may not be able to complete a form
  • Some HTML elements are missing a lang attribute – Fails on WCAG 2.1 3.1.1 Language of Page
IMPACT: When there is no language set on the html element, screen readers may not interpret the page in its intended language

10. How we tested this website

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 level A and level AA to test how accessible https://eu.m3.com/ is. We used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach to decide on a sample of pages to test.

11. What we’re doing to improve accessibility

The M3 development team are looking into fixing content which fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard. Some content is directly related to our branding so cannot be fixed. Other content is supplied by third parties and will be raised with them to fix.

We will update this page when issues are fixed.
